$2500 Winner of Ultimate Cookie Decorating is Sandra McClure!
Sandra’s winning entry reads: "For more than five decades these cookies have been a Christmas tradition in my family. My mother started this tradition when I was a young girl. Every Christmas she would bake countless cookies for me, my three sisters, all our classmates, friends and relatives. When I grew up and had my own family, she passed the tradition on to me. I baked countless cookies for all the special people in my life, especially my son, Michael. In 1985 we lost our home and most of our possessions in a fire (luckily no one was hurt). I was thrilled to discover the irreplaceable three-dimensional cookie cutters were stored in a container and were not harmed. The tradition lived on. I am now a grandmother and continue to bake these cookies every Christmas with my grandson, Cameron. My son, Michael, tragically died in 2007. He always thought my Christmas cookies were not only the prettiest cookies ever, but also the most delicious. I hope you agree. My family and friends look forward to receiving their cookies every year. Hopefully this tradition will create many great memories for my grandson, Cameron. When he grows up, I hope he will share these special times with his family and continue the tradition."
